Pickle for Pink Tournament and Fundraiser
On a beautiful, warm and sunny weekend this past October, the Duke Faculty Club hosted its second annual Pickle for Pink tournament and fundraiser for the Duke Breast Surgery and Breast Oncology departments. Over 200 players competed in three days of the tournament, from singles on Friday, gender doubles on Saturday, and mixed doubles on Sunday. A silent auction showcased exciting experiences and items such as Pink! concert tickets, Duke Women’s basketball tickets, bottles of wine, NC beach vacations, jewelry, and other local fare. New this year was a Saturday night “Players Party” with a pro exhibition and social play opportunities. Throughout the weekend players and spectators were treated to local food trucks such as The Purple Bowl, Sister Liu’s and El Jefecito.
