"Hollywood Happenings" Lights Up Summer Camp

The last week of July our DFC Summer Camp rolled out the red carpet for an exciting Hollywood Happenings theme! From the moment campers arrived on Monday morning, everyone embraced the excitement of show business, creativity and teamwork as they stepped into the spotlight to learn musical numbers such as “Under the Sea” and “I Just Can’t Wait to be King”.

Throughout the week, campers ages 4-12 explored the world of entertainment while building confidence and having fun. The biggest highlight was preparing for our week-ending stage performances, where campers worked together to perform a variety of musical numbers. They practiced their dances, rehearsed their movements and spots, and encouraged one another every step of the way.

On performance day, campers proudly took the stage and showcased all of their hard work, dancing to all-time favorite songs from The Little Mermaid, The Lion King, Frozen, Zootopia and 101 Dalmatians. Family, friends, camp counselors and DFC staff enjoyed entertaining and adorable performances filled with energy, smiles and enthusiasm.
