Swim Lessons

Swimming Lessons

The Duke Faculty Club swim lesson program offers small classes, advancement opportunities, and professional, energetic instructors that make swimming fun and successful!

One of the things that makes our program unique is that we gear instruction specifically for each swimmer based on their skill set at the time they begin classes. The program moves at your child's pace; with opportunities to advance to the next level within a weekly session.

The skills begin with Level 1 (no water experience required) and progresses up to a Level 5 (Skill Refinement & Conditioning). Each level is broken down into easy to achieve skills so that your child will constantly be receiving positive reinforcement as they learn to swim.

Classes use a low swimmer to instructor ratio, with two instructors and ten students constituting a full class, so that instruction is effective and efficient. Classes will be offered in the morning prior to the pool opening and in the evenings prior to swim team practice.

Aqua Tots: This program is designed to help parents assist their toddlers (24 months to 3 years) in becoming more comfortable in the water. The goal of the lessons is to provide a safe environment for parents and their toddlers to learn the foundations for swimming and water safety.
