Aquatic Programs

Please note: Our lessons are open to non-members, however, the following policies apply to respect the privileges of club members. Only the non-member enrolled in swim class may swim while at the Faculty Club, and only during the lesson. If non-members wish to remain at the club before or after lessons, they must sign in as the guest of a member who will be charged a guest fee. Thank you for your cooperation.

Group Swimming Lessons:
Group swim instruction is available for children in the morning between 10:00am and 11:30am, and in the evenings between 5:00pm and 6:30pm. Please sign up early in the main office these lessons fill up fast.

Private Swimming Lessons:
Private swim and diving instruction is available for children and adults beginning June 9. We have a great team of seasoned instructors who are leading this team. These names include old favorites such as Kyle Wiggins, Ryan Little, Lee Walker and Christine Weber.

Parent/Tot Swimming Lessons:
Parent/Tot swimming lessons are designed to help young children develop a comfort level in and around the water, as well as a readiness for learning to swim.  The course is not designed to teach children to become accomplished swimmers or to survive in the water on their own.  Parents will learn how to orient their children to the water and how to safely supervise all water activities.  Please sign up early in the main office these lessons fill up fast.

Springboard Diving Lessons w/ Lindy Norman:

Group Diving Lessons:

Group diving lessons focus on diving board safety, proper board technique including the front approach and back press, basic diving positions, and some simple and fun dives including back dives, twist dives, and an introduction to flipping techniques.  High dive instruction is available, but optional based on the readiness of the diver.

Private Diving Lessons:

Private diving lessons are custom designed to meet the interests, needs, and schedule of the diver(s).  Instructional focus will vary depending on the athlete(s).  It is acceptable for small groups to take private lessons together and split the fee.

Water Aerobics

Beginning on June 9th, we will offer water aerobics in the main pool on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 10:30-11:30am.  (No class the week of July 4th)

All classes are $6.00 for MEMBERS, $8.00 for NONMEMBERS. 
Save $$$ by pre-purchasing your 10-CLASS ACTIVITY PASS
at the Faculty Club office $40.00 for MEMBERS, $65.00 for NONMEMBERS.

 

Lifeguard Training Course:

This American Red Cross certification course is offered at the start of the summer and prepares entry level lifeguards with the knowledge and skills to prevent, recognize and respond to emergencies and to provide care for injuries and sudden illnesses until emergency medical services (EMS) arrive and take over.

Weather Policy

Rain: the pools will remain open in rain unless it rains hard enough that the guards can not see the bottom.

Thunder and Lightning: The pool will close immediately in the case of thunder and lightening and will reopen at the discretion of the head lifeguard or the aquatics director. (National Safety Lightening Institute and the American Red Cross recommend a 30 minute wait before returning to the pool )

Reminders!
Swim diapers must be worn by all youth who are still in the process of being potty trained.  Swim diapers are available for purchase at the club.  Health department regulations require that the pool be closed when a fecal accident occurs. Depending on the type of accident this closing could range from one hour to 24 hours.
